Alaska Governor Sara Palin to Resign – And do everyone a favour?
So it’s official, Sarah Palin to retire - It was first reported by CNN on Friday, but now is big news. There were no questions asked of Palin as to why. She had mentioned in a speech pursuing a career from outside of government, where she felt she could be more effective. No Kidding Einstein.
Maybe waitressing? Co hosting on Letterman? Airline stewardess? Okay that is kind of rude. Somehow her whole manner just didn’t appeal to the American Public. Women didn’t like her, men didn’t like her… If I am not mistaken, cats and dogs didn’t either. When she opened up her mouth in defense she always made things worse. She appears to be doing the right thing.
I now see some news reports speculating that she will now focus on running for President in 2012. That must be erroneous even though possible; she would have know better doncha think? If she does decide to run for president in 2012, what would help her as much as anything is a speaking coach. It isn’t possible for her to have gotten so far in politics if she were as challenged as her speaking has her appear. The experience she would have gained by staying on as Governor wouldn’t have hurt her either.
Her name will take a beating again; I feel a twinge of pity coming on… I’ll watch my recorded David Letterman shows until it passes. There is one thing I will miss when we no longer see her face in media presentations, she sure is good looking. No joke there.
