More Rumbling Amongst Iranian Clerics
A statement was released Saturday by clerics and students of the seminary at the holy city of Qom in Iran. Their claim is that the election yielded false results. Former President of Iran Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani had expressed support of the demonstrations being carried out by Iranians. The former president was also quoted as saying that he doubted “any informed conscience would be satisfied with the resulting situation” – Iranian Labor News Agency.
The website of Grand Ayatollah Saanei had a message stating “A large portion of the people have not been convinced over the ambiguities in the election… Due to the lack of public support, the government may face legal and civil problems and a lack of competency.” Saanei was not the only grand ayatollah to express disdain for the questionable election results. Statements such as these are considered to be harshly impacting already impaired credibility of the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
The rest of the world is of course fully cognizant of all of what they now claim. Still it’s refreshing to report that even the clerics whose duty it is to support Khamenei are not supporting of his corrupt post election B.S. cover-up. It is beginning to appear that if the people keep at it they could right the atrocious and unacceptable wrong imposed upon them. I have a whole lot of respect for what they are doing for themselves and their country… What do you figure?

Who cares what is going on in Iran, we have enough of our own problems to deal with!
